In this 90-minute webinar, participants will:
- Understand the intersection of domestic violence and pet safety, including how being a pet owner can become a barrier to victim-survivors leaving abusive situations
- Learn about available emergency foster programs, including the role of the Minnesota Pet Coalition
- Explore best practices for collaboration between domestic violence shelters and animal welfare organizations
- Discover ways to support victim-survivors and their pets through advocacy, policy, and direct services
