Trauma-Informed Mindful Movement with Embody Yoga

Description of the event: Women’s Advocates has teamed up with Embody Yoga! We hope to further our sense of community, support, and coping skills. The practice of Yoga is truly meant for everyone, no matter your age, ability, background, etc. Please join Women’s Advocates and Lindsey, Founder of Embody Yoga, for this trauma-informed moving, breathing, and grounding 45-minute class. We’ll mostly be seated, centering with slow movements & deep breaths. If this does not interest you, you’re certainly welcome to observe and if we should know any specific accommodations, please contact Women’s Advocates at bwheeler@wadvocates.org in advance.

Who can attend: Everyone is welcome to join! Some may be interested in a trauma-informed mindful movement class due to vicarious trauma as an advocate, interpersonal trauma as a survivor, or for any other reason.
