ASL Specific: Trauma-Informed Mindful Movement Event with Embody Yoga

Description of the event: Please join Women’s Advocates, along with Lindsey, Founder of Embody Yoga in a 60-minute trauma-informed mindful movement event, in partnership with ThinkSelf MN. We hope to further our sense of community and coping skills in this free class offering. You can expect trauma-informed guidance while connecting with our breath and our body. We’ll mostly be seated, centering with slow movements & deep breaths.

Who can attend: This class is open to the public! Any and all ASL users are encouraged to join! We’ll have an ASL Interpreter for the entirety of the event and we have collaborated with ThinkSelf to increase the accessibility of this event. Some may be interested in a trauma-informed mindful movement class due to vicarious trauma as an advocate, interpersonal trauma as a survivor, or for any other reason.

* Participants will also have access to photos, with a description of the movement prior to class. Please email Women’s Advocates in advance, if we should know of any specific accommodations.
