Emotional Safety for Children Webinar

Date: Monday, December 7th, 2020 from 10am-11:30am central US time

Join Mary Willis (Early Childhood Therapist from the Domestic Abuse Project) to discuss the following in a 90-minute webinar:

  1. What does emotional safety mean for children? Why is emotional safety important for children?
  2. What are some warning signs that children are emotionally unsafe? How do children communicate emotional safety (without using those words)?
  3. How can parents help their children feel emotionally safe? How can parents demonstrate emotional safety?
  4. How can children self-soothe? What are the specific emotional safety considerations for children who have experienced trauma? How do you promote emotional safety across the developmental stages/age spectrum?
